You're hardcore--buying a bolt of the stuff! I appreciate :) Are you a designer?

I've been meaning to copy the pattern for my coat and recreate the fit (but changing the detailing) with a great wool-cashmere blend I found last year in NY. Yay for making clothes!

True Love is investment dressing - you've worn that coat since you were fourteen. That's a pretty sincere investment. And, I have to say, if someone is reaching for certain pieces to wear over and over again, and doesn't truly love them, it might be time to think about why they're worn so often.

Aside from that, apparently for me, Black Wool Crepe Jackets are investmentment dressing, because, no matter where I'm shopping, or how many vividly coloured items I tote into the dressing room, what will fit me, invariably, is the Black Wool Crepe Jacket in the pile. BWCJs, let me tell you, come in hundreds of variations. I have succumbed to the dictates of the Style Gods and bought a bolt of Black Wool Crepe, so that there will at least be skirts and dresses to keep them company.
