Yes, the Ben Shermans may be a bit "hideous" as you say, but I wanted to put variety into the mix because there are people out there who actually still dig the square toe.  Luckily, these aren't as boxy as some of those other shoes out there...plus they are reasonably priced.  There are other non-squares on the list, so keep that in mind.
