Fur will always be in. It's just a matter of how it's worn - a little fur on cuffs and collars is very chic but if you live in Southern California/Miami and you are wearing fur in J.Lo proportions, then one must question one's style.

I find a gross majority of people extremely ignorant about fur. The techniques that professional furriers use on their animals is in NO way comparable w/ those of a third world fur farm. To lump them into the same category is an insult to those who have generations worth of experience with raising animals for fur.

It's great people are taking note of environmental issues but there are ways to conserve with what we have. How many people are aware of the fact that bio-diesel releases noxious gases that expand the hole in the ozone? How about the acres of forests that must be cut down to make space for soybean crop? Most people are so disengaged with where their clothes and food from that these questions are never posited. It's not enough to have a "green" alternative but to also question what the pros/cons are of that alternative - just b/c it's green doesn't mean it's not without it's negative consequences.

Good point, Brianna. Environmental issues, animal issues, and others have been more prominent as of late. I think it's a very positive thing that people are paying attention!
