Makes sense: no need to bring a tote and a purse, or stick my purse inside a tote, or carry two bags, and multiple shopping bags. Also, I think it's perfect for running errands. I could get my library books, mail, even dry cleaning in it and fold it back down to a purse when I was done. I need it!
