I felt Jay's collection really lived up to the expectation that was out there. It was completely original, and undeniably "Jay". I think Urban Outfitters should pick up his line immediately. It really goes along with the kinds of clothes you find in their stores. I've written them online asking them to pick up his line. So lets all write them! If there's the demand, then perhaps they will listen! And just when I didn't think I could love Jay any more, I hear he's advocating with the Humane Society for animal rights (banning fur!) Who knew - the saucy seamstress has a heart of gold! Way to go Jay! Loved the show, the little details really made this collection great and the show such a success. The metal bracelets & necklaces were my favorites. the bird cage was adorable, it really softened the harshness of the bright yellow dress I thought. Also loved the grometted skirt, the perfectly blended pallette of the patchwork tunic (show above), and the geometric jacket with the white, blue & green blocks. The mens collection was fantastic too. Another reason that I think Urban Outfitters should pick up this line TO-DAY. I can't say enough good things about this collection, so I'll just stop here. Remember folks, we have to request our favorite stores start carry Jay's line. We can help! And we can also help by supporting Jay's (and the Humane Society's) cause by not wearing fur. Even buying a sweater with a tiny fur trim supports cruelty. I think the fashion industry is long overdue for a wake up call on this issue.

If you write to HSUS.org they will send you a button. The Humane Society of the United States sponsored Jay's show because he has promised not use fur or leather. HSUS.org has a video and web feature on Jay.
