A too short skirt is very noticeable, especially in a professional environment. I agree with this post - ditch the skirt and get something you will feel comfortable in. There is nothing worse than being self-conscious about your outfit all day long!

Thanks for helping Raessa, Jojo! Sounds like the party is going to be pretty crazy. Maybe try metallics--they're sure to spice up your outfit in a way that's completely on-trend :)

You could wear the skirt over fitted black pants, a pair with some stretch in them. Or even over a pair of jeans. You could also wear it over a longer skirt in a contrasting color, like beige or black or gray, as long as the longer skirt is in a thinner material. If all else fails, use the fabric to make something else, like a belt or a wrap.

I recently bought an off-white puffer vest from Target. I want to wear it with my dark gray Earnest Sewn Jeans but I have no clue what to wear beneath the vest. Any suggestions, aside from black? Thanks!

I'm invited to an outrageous party tomorrow - and have got no clue what to wear. A friend is wearing a striped minidress, fishnets, and heels, and another a yellow miniskirt and black top, studded belt, fishnets over tights, and silver flats. What can i wear so I'm not shown up?

Great, practical advice. It's one of the toughest things to do, letting go of an item of clothing that MIGHT someday, somehow look all right. (And sometimes it does, but often it just sits in your closet.)

I hear this: "Don’t waste money on filler items to build an outfit around clothes that make you uncomfortable." There's nothing worse than knowing your clothes didn't fit right from the start. Well, yes there is: wasting money on other things that still don't make it fit right.
