I *love* winter coats, and have been looking for a brown one. I saw that the Duffle Coat from Old Navy came in brown, so I ordered it. I shouldn't have been surprised-- Old Navy isn't known for great quality-- but I was extremely disappointed in the cut of the fabric as well as its feel-- it was not lined, and the fabric was scratchy, and not in a scratchy-wool way, but a scratchy-cheap way. I also fell in love with the purple Belted Coat from the GAP, and just saw that it is 30% off in stores right now, so less than $100. The fabric is of fairly good quality, the coat is lined, and the cut is flattering. Plus, the color is to die for. So you can guess which coat I will be wearing this winter.

We feature clothes that we love--clothes that we would (or do) wear ourselves. It just so happens that we like AE's style, especially for the prices.

But to answer your question, nope, we don't get anything for featuring AE's clothes. They're not advertisers, and we don't have an affiliate account with them.

Why do you always pimp AE all the time? Did they pay you off or something?

Sasha I agree about the 3/4 sleeve coats.

I am digging the buffalo plaid coat though, ever since it was featured in an earlier post. Might have to check that one out in person.

Love this site! These coats are all lovely, but 3/4 sleeve coats, while more than adequate in warmer climates like California, aren't terribly practical where the weather gets cold elsewhere. How's about a couple more full-length sleeve suggestions?
