Frayed Tweed Dress
December 2nd, 2008

Fringing gives an edgy feel to this punky tweed dress. Style tip? The short sleeves are great for streamlining heavy upper arms.

This is cute–for June or July. Why in December do we continue to see all these short-sleeved and sleeveless dresses and tops? Where are the long-sleeved pieces that are actually season-approprriate? Consider me frustrated.

But with a little layering, you can make this piece seasonally appropriate. Try it over a thin long-sleeved sweater (or try cozy cashmere long gloves). Wear opaque tights (or even jeans or gray pants over silk underwear), plus a pair of boots. Add a cozy overcoat, and you’ll be good to go!
