Sorry, I think the shorts+leggings+boots is terrible. I see people wearing that all the time in my city, and I think it looks awful.

This is how all the girls here in Japan dress in fall and winter, although alot of them leave out the tights. I don’t know how they do it! Brrr!

I actually like this outfit, it’s kind of rockin’, and I love all the layers. And I want those boots! I have seen people wearing shorts with tights and I like that look. I would do it but I don’t really have appropriate shorts - I think all of mine are way too summer-ey.

Honey, no. Shorts and a parka? With that yellow twisted-knot cardigan over the triangle shaped shirt and the gray plaid sticking out? City pants might work better , or like GeorgeNYC said something flowy, but it wouldn’t save this outfit.

To pull of shorts in the winter I feel like they should be wide or flowy enough to look like a skirt at first glance. I pulled off yellow silk ones with black tights last year and it was odd… but looked quite good in the end!
