I have been on the lookout for a feminine looking military style boot that laces all the way up to my knee. The few that I do see in stores are too chunky and they make my 8.5 feet look like they’re a size 12. I was also thinking that a pair that hits right at my ankle would be practical for me since I am 5′2 and versatile enough so that I have lots of options.

I love military boots, although I tend to refer to them as just “work boots”. I spent ages trying to find a pair that was calf length and laced with a decent grip sole so I could actually wear them on frosty mornings without slipping around. Have to admit I would have prefered a sleeker boot, but these actually look great with a floral dress or jeans and a going out top and they’re quite practical

Anyone know what boots are in the picture?

eh, i’m not a fan of the military boots for some reason. reminds of doc maarten’s and nirvana in the 90’s, which i loved at the time, but i’m not feeling in 2010.

Depends what kind of dress we’re talking about. Some people can totally get away with boots + a dress (usually a minidress of some description) and others can’t (like me haha). I think tall people do a better job of pulling it off because the boots don’t visually “cut off” their legs as much as they would on a short person.
