Hi Joanne, I am also from the Philippines. I would suggest a light clothes that you can layer, so that you can take them on/off depending on the weather. For a jacket, something like a denim jacket, moto or blazer. Plus, if it’s not heavy you can still wear pa sa Pilipinas rin That way you don’t have to buy just for your visit to NYC.

I love the look of trenchcoats. I wear them in the winter where I live (south Texas) since we generally have a mild winter. Spring, summer, and fall are way too hot for jackets of any kind!

It’s my first time to visit NYC this coming April 2010 and I understand it’s springtime there. I’m from the Philippines, a tropical country. I’m in a dilemma on what to wear since we haven’t experienced spring here in my country. Any suggestions?

Yippee! I’ve got all of these covered. Now I just need to make sure they get worn during the week and a half of spring we get around here …
