Even the trilby hat, while fun, isn't exactly the best way to make your mark in a crowd. I think a change of shoe would help make this look smarter. A nice driving moccasin maybe. And for the plaid, I'd go with something lighter, less "thick". Mixed in with some ray bans, and you'll look more classy and less hipster.
