I've actually been thinking about getting a cape for aesthetic and utilitarian purposes. Part of my daily "uniform" is chunky or flowy knits or blazers paired with skinny pants/jeans/mini with tights. Sometimes this gets too tight underneath my fall/winter coats that it gets uncomfortable - not so great for my morning commute through public transportation or walking. I like feeling free and comfortable, so having a cape seems like a sensible choice. I just really hope this isn't too much of a "trend" item as I would love to wear one every fall/winter!
