Omiru’s take: While bright yellow is great for summer days, mustard yellow will shine this Fall. Style tip? Mustard yellow is a great way to punch up a black outfit–but we also recommend pairing the yellow hue with navy blue. We love the drama of a full-on mustard yellow dress (sleeves give you extra style points), but if you’re feeling color-shy, feel free to try out the color on a handbag or a pair of shoes.

In? Not my favorite. I think if I wore it in a blouse, it wouldn’t flatter my skin tone. I wonder if it looks better on different skin tones? I’m very pale, but I can see it looking great on women of color.

Yeah, it’s not a universally flattering color–but it’s do-able on accessories if it doesn’t work with your skin tone. I just bought a mustard yellow handbag to pair with a navy blue dress (with pockets) for Fall.
